Chris Kobus - The Science Critic, Clean Energy Prof, and The Fitness Prof: I am an Associate Prof of Engineering at Oakland University and the Director of Engineering and Energy Education in the Clean Energy Research Center (CERC) of the OU Inc - Oakland University's incubator and accelerator. My field of interest is in energy and fluid and thermal sciences with a focus on clean energy.

I am also a movie buff and since a teenager have been ripping on Hollywood movies for scientific inaccuracies, and use motion pictures in my courses to teach fundamental scientific principles and their applications. Before 'Mystery Science Theater' there was me and my engineering friends doing the exact same thing but focusing on the technical aspects of sci-fi and action flicks.

I have also been into the natural bodybuilding lifestyle since 1986. Competed in my first show (the ANBC Mr Pittsburgh) in 1989, and have many years of experience in exercise and nutrition. At 6' 4" tall, I went from a 145 pound high school wimp, to a 315 pound weightlifter capable of 500lbs in the 3 major power lifts (bench, squat, deadlift) to a 210-lb ripped bodybuilder on stage with very little bodyfat. If I can control my body to such a degree, anyone can.
